From start to finish we couldn’t have been more pleased with the building of our new home with Battlefield Homes. We had visited a couple of other builders prior to contacting Battlefield Homes but they didn’t seem to have time for us, didn’t return phone calls, etc. That was not our experience with Battlefield Homes! From the moment we walked in their office doors (without an appointment) they treated us as if we were their most important client and as if our needs/wants were something they would go out of their way to make happen. And they did. Because we were only in town a couple of days, they made time for us right away, and even invited us back in the next day. Before we left town, we had the basic footprint of our house and a cost! Our building experience was unique in that we lived in Florida at the time and knew wouldn’t be able to visit the job site very often. At first, we were concerned – how would we be able to be sure our house was being built to the standards and high quality that we desired – without us being there daily or even weekly to check on the progress? Our concerns never materialized – every single team member at Battlefield Homes kept us informed and in the loop every step of the way, along with lots of pictures to assure us our home was being built as we desired. Our job site manager contacted us every week (at minimum) and sent pictures. When the wrong tile was accidentally installed he was on it immediately and made sure the subcontractor corrected the problem right away. When we needed to make a change to the plans in our master bath the office staff was right on it to let us know where we were with our budget and how much the change would be. In short, there were no surprises and they built the house of our dreams (and then some).
This was not our first building project so we knew the possible pitfalls and areas we needed to be on top of with a new build, especially from a distance. We didn’t need to worry at all. Everything was done to the highest of standards (and they even noticed little things that we didn’t!). Our build was done quickly – there wasn’t any down time, and in fact, it finished much earlier than we expected.
It is without reservation that I give Battlefield Homes and all of its staff my highest recommendation. If you are looking for a quality builder that listens, stays on top of things and within budget, you won’t go wrong with Battlefield.
